The Art of Cinematic Compositing in After Effects Free Download
Trying to learn VFX on your own usually means jumping between random tutorials and hoping it all comes together. This class saves you the frustration by guiding you through a full professional workflow from start to finish. Instructor Anurag Raj shares the same techniques he uses in professional settings, breaking everything down into clear steps you can apply to your own work.
You’ll start by building strong foundations in After Effects, like setting up clean comps, organizing your assets, and streamlining your workflow. Then you’ll get hands-on with cloud animations, fog, fire, and other effects that bring scenes to life. Anurag also teaches you how to break down real shots, match lighting and color, and integrate CG into live-action plates in a way that looks natural.
The class wraps with professional-level tips on working with EXRs, ACES color pipelines, and multi-pass renders. By the end, you’ll not only understand the tools, but also how to use them creatively and confidently across your own projects.
“Let’s transform your ideas into reality with effects that enhance every moment and visuals that spark awe and feeling.” Go beyond basic techniques and challenge yourself to create visually striking composites that reflect your personal style. Led by Infinite VFX (Anurag Raj), a self-taught, seasoned compositor with over five years of experience collaborating with global brands like Nike and artists such as Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, SIA, and Jennie, this class teaches you how to approach VFX compositing in After Effects to yield cinematic visuals.
Known for a distinctive style that blends realism with abstraction, Anurag guides you through the visual strategies, technical processes, and artistic decisions that define his signature look. If you’re tired of generic tutorials and want to create work that feels bold and original, this class is designed to help you make that shift.
Through hands-on breakdowns, clear guidance, and structured exercises, you’ll learn how to build design-forward shots rooted in storytelling. You’ll start by mastering foundational skills like integrating 2D elements into live-action and CG scenes, then move on to more advanced workflows using alpha & luma mattes and EXR multi-pass files.
Along the way, you’ll explore industry-standard tools like ACES and Red Giant plugins in After Effects to elevate the look and feel of your work. Every lesson is project-based and rooted in real-world application, showing that while VFX can be complex, the process can also be approachable, rewarding, and even fun.
