Play like the greats
ICON BASS brings the power and versatility of one of the greatest bass guitars to stand the test of time. Carefully sampled from a popular 1989 USA-made model, it packs a wide array of riffs, loops, and melodies composed and performed by top session bassists. With the added kick of active electronics, ICON BASS is perfect when you need that extra bite for rumbling rock riffs, fierce funk fills, and pop parts that pack a punch.
Cut through the mix
Influential from the stage to the studio, the ICON BASS model is favored by some of the greatest players to ever do it. One of the first bass guitars to boast an onboard 2-band active EQ, along with a large alnico humbucker pickup positioned close to the bridge, it’s perfect for dialing in bright and punchy bass tones that demand attention.
Own your tone
Embrace the natural character of the instrument or customize your sound with meticulously modeled tone controls. Send your sound through a selection of four amplifiers and ten cabinets including GUITAR RIG 6 PRO’s Bass Invader and Bass Pro. Choose between eight expressive stompboxes and eleven high-grade studio effects, including distortion, modulation, vintage compressors, studio EQ, reverb, and delay emulations, then tailor them to your taste or be inspired by an extensive library of 58 sound presets.
Four strings, two instruments
ICON BASS comes loaded with two instruments – the primary pattern instrument and a second melody instrument for combining your own melodies with patterns and phrases. Together, they make it simple to lay down authentic and expressive bass parts in any genre with a range of articulations, techniques, and playing styles to help bring your ideas to life.
Playable patterns
Quickly browse through more than 200 patterns across 54 song presets, then adapt the pitches further in your sequencer with MIDI drag and drop. Lock in your basslines to the groove of your productions with swing and humanize controls, and shift accents between downbeats and offbeats.
Real session feel
ICON BASS brings a professional session bassist to your DAW with a range of articulation options, including fingers, plectrum, slaps and pops, open and muted notes, chromatic dead notes, harmonics, and more. The engine automatically adds realistic hammer-ons and pull-offs for authentic transitions and repetitions, as well as fret noises and a wide range of slide intervals to ensure a fluid, dynamic, and nuanced performance.
