Type Morph simulates some features of Variable Fonts by creating morphs of every single characters
A Variable Font is a single font that acts as multiple fonts. Using dynamic attributes such as width, weight, serif and others, variable fonts can be modified live t’s hardly an overstatement to claim that the variable font might revolutionize the way we design and use type, and it seems like we’re only beginning to tap into the possible implications that follow
However, Variable Fonts are not supported by After Effects yet and this is why I have created Type Morph
Type Morph creates intermediate steps between two weights chosen by the user and returns a slider for the animation of a given word/sentence
With the Trial mode you can sample the complete alphabet and make sure the effect looks like you are expecting but only the full licence will allow you to create your own words
Depending purely on their own design, some characters might not morph perfectly, so it’s important you sample your alphabet before committing.
However, should you have a few characters that didn’t morph properly, do not panic! You can use the ‘Support Tools’ checkbox to Export the glyph’s vectors and open a support request. We will be happy to fix it for you as soon as possible. When you receive the ‘fixed’ character, you use the Import Button to update your design
